Greenwood Athletic Director - Matt Bingman

Matt Bingaman , is a 1995 graduate Cedar Cliff High School where he played football, basketball, and baseball. Matt’s Perry County roots are tied to his paternal grandmother (Martha Walker Bingaman), who was born and raised near Newport, raised by her aunt, in a one room schoolhouse teacher (Alice Walker). Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from The Pennsylvania State University in 2000. He also earned his Master’s in Education in Educational Leadership and Policy and later his Administration certification from Shippensburg University. Matt began his more than twenty-two-year special education teaching career at the West Shore School District where he was a Girls Basketball Coach at Cedar Cliff High School, later teaching 15 years at Susquenita School District prior to accepting the Greenwood MS/HS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director role in March 2023. Prior to taking on the Athletic Director / Assistant Principal role at Greenwood, Matt was a baseball umpire for twenty-eight years. As an umpire, Matt worked PIAA, American Legion and Little League state championships as well as two Little League World Series championships as well as local youth and adult leagues. Matt has served as President of his umpire organization and his church council. Matt and his wife of 20 years, Janelle, reside in the Harrisburg area and have two sons. When not at sporting events, Matt enjoys camping at the shore, in the mountains or just about anywhere his path leads him
Newport Athletic Director - Shawn Lesh

Shawn is a 1986 Graduate of Newport High School where he participated in football. Following graduation from Newport, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation / Fitness Management from Lock Haven University in 1990.
Shawn returned to Newport in 2004 to help coach football for the Buffaloes until 2009 when he was hired as Athletic Director. In addition to his duties as athletic director, he is also Director of Outside Building and Grounds for the district, Strength Coach, and enjoys being an advisor for Varsity Club and Sportsman’s Club.
Shawn and his wife Amy reside in Newport, and have two children…Colton and Brooke. Colton participates in golf and basketball, and Brooke plays field hockey and basketball for Newport.
Susquenita Athletic Director - Scott Markowitz
Mr. Markowitz is extremely excited to serve as Athletic Director of Susquenita School District. Mr. Markowitz received his bachelor's in Health and Physical Education in 2009 from East Stroudsburg University. In 2021, he completed his Master's Program in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. From 2012 to 2017, Mr. Markowitz was the Health and Physical Education teacher of Passaic Charter in NJ. From 2017-2023, he served as the school's Athletic Director. Coaching several varsity sports along the way, such as basketball, soccer, and cross country. His school went on to win a state sectional title in 2023 and this past year won a county championship. Most of his programs at the school were extremely successful, always qualifying for the state tournament. Mr. Markowitz is very excited to move to PA with his wife and one-year old daughter. Even though he is making the move to PA, he will continue to be a strong supporter of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. He is also a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and New York Knicks. Proud to add the Susquenita Blackhawks to the list!

West Perry Athletic Director - Adam Marso

Mr. Marso comes to West Perry with over a decade of athletics and education experience. He graduated Susquehanna Township in 2011 and continued on to Penn State University where he earned a Kinesiology degree in 2015. While there, he interned with the Penn State Strength and Conditioning staff, and continued that career path to multiple locations. After PSU, he became a graduate assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at Nicholls State University (Thibodaux, LA), where he graduated in 2017 with his Master’s in Educational Leadership. Mr. Marso left Louisiana to take a role at the University of North Florida (Jacksonville, FL) which lead to a job with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he spent 3 seasons in their minor league system. After the Pirates, he moved to Philadelphia with his wife, Mary, and dog, Motley, where he taught at Bonner & Prendie Catholic High school, before becoming Athletic Director at the school for 3 years. They moved home to the Harrisburg area last year and welcomed their son, Owen, in June 2024. Mr. Marso is excited to help elevate the standard of West Perry Athletics and become a part of the school and community!
